1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 17.12.2024 passed in CRA No.2061 of 2024, while allowing the bail of the appellant, namely, Lalit Kumar Tripathi, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with YOGESH TIWARI Digitally signed by YOGESH TIWARI Date: 2025.07.04 18:26:21 +0530
2 law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of passing of the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Special Judge under National Investigating Agency Act, Surguja (Ambikapur) C.G. vide his request letter dated 12.06.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that the learned Court had received the directions only on 04.01.2025 and till then, the Court was continuously recording evidence of witnesses and at present, the statements of 9 prosecution witnesses have been recorded. The statement of 3 remaining prosecution witnesses, is yet to be recorded. However, it is likely to take some time for concluding the trial. Therefore, he prays for grant of further two months time for concluding the trial.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of two months from today.
6. Accordingly, the present CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
