Mr. Surender Singh, AAG, Haryana. ***** SANJIV BERRY, J.(ORAL) After arguing at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the present petition at this stage, however, has submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 05.03.2018, as such, the learned trial Court be asked to expedite the trial as only official witnesses remained to be examined.

In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition stands dismissed as withdrawn at this stage, however, keeping in view the request made by learned counsel for the petitioner and also the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 05.03.2018 coupled with the fact that only the official witnesses remained to be examined now, the learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial by giving short adjournments of not more than three weeks at one stretch. 3. The Commissioner of Police, Sonepat, is also directed to ensure the presence of witnesses so summoned by the learned trial Court on each date of hearing by deputing a responsible Gazetted Officer for this purpose.
