JUSTICE MOKSHA KHAJURIA KAZMI, JUDGE ORDER 16.07.2025 The instant contempt petition has been filed by the petitioners herein/respondents before the writ Court seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents herein/petitioners before the writ Court for alleged willful disobedience of interim order dated 19.06.2018 passed by the writ Court in OWP No. 1027/2018. When the matter was taken up today, learned counsel appearing for the respondents herein/petitioners before the writ Court submitted that the main writ petition, from which the present contempt petition has arisen, has been finally disposed of by the writ Court vide order dated 04.07.2025, whereby a direction has been issued to the Financial Commissioner, Revenue, J&K, Jammu, to adjudicate and dispose of the matter within a period of four months from the first date of resumption of hearing before him, keeping in view the fact that the parties have been litigating over the subject matter since 1997. It is, therefore, submitted that nothing survives for adjudication in the present contempt petition. In view of the above, the proceedings in the contempt petition are closed.
