This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers :- “a) Issue a writ of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ order or direction thereby calling for the records relating to the requirement of filling up the personal details of scribe by the candidates with benchmark disabilities including the petitioners, requiring the facility of scribe, in the online application form for CUET (PG) 2025 being conducted by respondent no.1, at the threshhold, examine the same and declare it to be unreasonable and discriminatory. b) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or direction thereby directing the respondents This is a digitally signed order. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 16/07/2026 at 11:54:46 particularly No.1 to make necessary modifications in the online application for CUEG (PG) 2025 permitting the visually impaired and other categories of disabilities, requiring the facility of scribe, to submit their application online without furnishing the details of the scribe at this stage and limiting the information with regard to scribe about the option to take scribe by ticking yes or no and also option of arranging own scribe or seeking the arrangement of scribe. ...” 2. Mr. Khanna, learned standing counsel draws my attention to paragraph No. 11 of Order dated 30.01.2025 which reads as under:- “11. In the meanwhile, following directions are issued: i. Let the petitioners be given an option of giving the details of the scribe at the time of filing of the forms. ii. National Testing Agency shall display the advance intimation for allotment of examination City for all candidates of CUET (PG)- 2025 along with the date of the examination. The candidates should be allowed to check/download their Examination City Intimation Slip using their application numbers and date of birth from the official portal: https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PCT/. The Examination City Intimation Slip will provide the details of the Date of Examination and the City of the Examination Centre, iii. The information about the Scribe (such as his/her name. Date of Birth, Aadhar No./ID and Qualifications) This is a digitally signed order. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 16/07/2026 at 11:54:46 be provided by the PwBD/PwD candidates, who have opted to bring their own Scribe in the Online Application form, immediately after the issuance of the Examination City Intimation Slip but prior to the release of the Admit Cards. The process and mode of obtaining the details of the scribe be worked out in due course with advance intimation to the petitioners. iv. The respondent shall make the necessary modifications so as to enable the petitioners to fill up the forms as required for CUET (PG)-2025. v. The process so adopted by the NTA for the carrying out the above directions shall be intimated to the petitioners in advance; and vi. This shall not create any special equity in favour of the petitioner and such directions shall be subject to the outcome of the present writ petition.” 3. The said directions have duly been complied with in its true letter, spirit and intent and hence, to my mind, nothing survives in the present petition. 4. Presumably, for this reason, there is nobody appearing on behalf of the petitioners. 5. In this view of the matter, the petition is disposed of.
