This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner Rahul Rabha in respect of Boko P.S. Case No. 492/2024. Page No.# 2/2 3. Police had the information that on the National Highway No. 17 a group of people stopped the commercial vehicles and collected money from the vehicles. Police visited the place of occurrence and arrested four persons immediately and others ran away. 4. It is stated that those persons were collecting money from the commercial vehicles in the name of an organisation. 5. The present petitioner is an important office bearer of the said organization. It is alleged in the FIR that the present petitioner even threatened the present Investigating Officer of this case. 6. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 7. The petitioner’s organisation is involved in extortion of money from innocent commercial vehicles plying in the National Highways. The petitioner is an office bearer of the said organization. Police recovered money receipts of the said organization from the arrested persons. Cash amount of money was also recovered. 8. The privilege of anticipatory bail is not meant to be given to the people like the present petitioner. The petitioner is not entitled to such a privilege. 9. Therefore, the pre-arrest bail application of the petitioner Rahul Rabha is rejected. The CD shall be returned. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
