The captioned Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Certiorari to the order dated 27.03.2025 passed by the first respondent vide Annexure-E. 3. Counsel for the respective parties urged several contentions. Heard the arguments and perused the Writ papers with care. 4. Counsel Sri.Jagadish Patil., submits that the father of the petitioner has died in 2025 i.e., on 19.01.2025 and the mother of the petitioner has also died in 2025 i.e., on 01.04.2025. Suffice it to note that the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 is applicable only for the Senior Citizens and under the said Act, the senior citizen can initiate proceedings before the Assistant Commissioner seeking appropriate relief. Taking note of the fact that the parents of the petitioner are no more, the proceedings initiated by them abates. 6. Resultantly, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
