This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent- Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that under the directives of the Government vide G.O.Rt. No.68 Planning (VII) Department, dt.10.05.2022, for conducting Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam programme from 11.05.2022, for creating awareness among the households on the welfare and development programmes being implemented by the State, the 3rd respondent issued respective proceedings dt.03.01.2024, 11.01.2024 and 07.02.2024 for the construction and repair works in the respective ward secretariat areas, viz., Batchupeta, Parasupeta, Bhaskarapuram and Ullingipalem, Buttaiapeta, RTC colony, Chilakalapudi-01, Edepalli-03, Narayanapuram and Ramanaidupeta, Balaramunipeta-2, Circlepeta- 02, Nooruddinpeta-02 and Kasinagudem, Machilipatnam Municipal -3- W.P. No.30705 OF 2025 Date of order: 06.11.2025 Corporation. The 4th respondent entered into agreement with the petitioner. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the works to the satisfaction of the competent authorities of the 4th respondent. It is further submitted that after execution of the works, the competent authority recorded the progress of the work in M Books and thereafter the petitioner has submitted respective final bills aggregating to a sum of Rs.24,31,568/- and the same was approved by the authorities of the 4th respondent, but so far no payment has been made to the petitioner. 5. The learned standing counsel for the 4th respondent, on oral instructions, submits that the works undertaken by the petitioner was completed to the satisfaction of the 4th respondent and the payment would be made in due course. 6. Considering the submissions that the work completed by the petitioner is not in dispute, there shall be a direction to respondents 2 and 4 to verify and release the payment due payable to the petitioner within a period of six weeks. 7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 8. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N BV
