AG Punjab SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing the official respondents no.2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondent no.4 to 9. Learned State counsel submits that a speaking order dated 05.05.2025 has been passed on the representation submitted by the petitioners. A copy of same has been placed on record as Mark A. The speaking order read as under:- “Whereas petitioners Kajal and Sanjay both are residents of House No-90 Harmilap Nagar Phase-1 Baltana, Police Station Zirakpur, District SAS Nagar. By filling the representation the petitioner has disclosed the threat to life and librty from her own father Jai Singh son of Gyan Singh and other relatives. During the investigation of this matter SI Gurpreet Singh I/c PP Baltana went to the residential address of the petitioner today on 05- 05-2025 to record his statement, but both the petitioners were not MEENU 2025.05.08 19:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRWP-4582-2025 -2- found at their house, the petitioner Kajal was spoken to on her mobile number 82191- 47057, who has disclosed the threat of life and liberty from her family members. While the Respondent party is from the other state of Himachal Pardesh. Respondent Jai Singh was contacted on his mobile phone number 82196-31857, respondent Jai Singh stated that his daughter Kajal has got married of her own free will, with which he has no objection. Keeping in view the safety of the petitioner party, the PCR party has been directed to ensured the safety of the petitioner and the mobile number's of the local Police Post/ Police station has been shared wiht her. Therefore, the representation of the petitioner stands disposed off”. In the light of above, the present petition has been rendered infructuous. Disposed off accordingly.
