1. The present appeal is directed against impugned judgment of
2 conviction and order of sentence dated 27.05.2013 passed by the learned Special Judge (Prevention of Corruption Act), North Bastar, Kanker (C.G.) in Corruption Special Case No.01/2006, whereby and whereunder, the appellants stand convicted under Sections 409/120-B, 420/120-B, 467/120-B, 468/120-B, 471/120- B of IPC and Section 13(1)D and 13(2)/120B of the Prevention of Corruption Act and sentenced them to undergo R.I. for 03 years with fine of Rs.500/-, R.I. for 02 years with fine of Rs.200/-, R.I. for 03 years with fine of Rs.200/-, R.I. for 02 years with fine of Rs.200/-, R.I. for 06 months with fine of Rs.200/- and R.I. for 02 years with fine of Rs.200/-, plus default stipulations.

Learned counsel for the appellant has filed I.A.No.02/2024 for verification of death of appellants, according to which son of appellant No.2 had informed that appellant No.2 died on
19.02.2023. Further, the son of appellant No.2 had also informed that appellant No.1 has also died.
3. On 18.03.2025 and 01.04.2025, the learned State counsel was grated time to file reply to I.A.No.02/2024, for verification of death of appellants.
4. Today, learned State counsel upon verifying has confirmed the death of appellants.
5. Thus, in view of the death of appellants and in absence of any application for bringing legal representatives of appellants on record to prosecute the appeal, the appeal abates and the same is dismissed as abated. Sd/-
