This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, wherein a direction is sought to the respondent No. 2 and 3, directing them to continue the security of armed police personnel, provided to the petitioner, in terms of the order of this Court dated May 12, 2010. The petitioner also seeks a direction to the aforesaid respondents to decide the representation of the petitioner, stated to be made on March 17, 2025, before the Superintendent of Police, Mainpuri, expeditiously and within a stipulated time period. Upon perusal of the prayers, in our view, keeping the facts and circumstances in mind, the authority concerned should grant an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and thereafter pass a reasoned order on the representation of the petitioner, with regard to grant of security to the petitioner. The petitioner is directed to put forward his case with regard to need for security before the authority concerned and the authority should thereafter consider the case of the petitioners in accordance with law. Accordingly, the concerned authority, is directed to take the petitioner's case into consideration and pass a reasoned order upon the aforesaid representation of the petitioner in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from date, after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
