JUSTICE MICHAEL ZOTHANKHUMA ORDER Date : 05-05-2025 Heard Mr. JI Borbhuiya, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. G Bokalial, learned counsel for the State respondents. 2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of various vehicles, which were taken on hire by the respondent authorities. However, the petitioner’s vehicle hire charges amounting to Rs.35,33,581/- has not been paid to him, despite various representations made by the petitioner. 3. Mr. G Bokalial, learned counsel for the State respondents submits that in terms of the affidavit-in-opposition filed by the respondent No. 7, the respondents are liable to Page No.# 3/3 pay to the petitioner the vehicle hire charges amounting to Rs.35,33,581/. The bills for the vehicle hire charges has been forwarded to the Assam Police Headquarters, Ulubari, Guwahati for necessary sanction and release of funds to be paid to the petitioner. 4. I have heard the learned counsels for the parties. 5. In view of the fact that the affidavit of the respondent No. 7 has clearly admitted that the petitioner is to be paid Rs.35,33,581/- as vehicle hire charges and as the proposal for payment of the same has been sent to the Assam Police Headquarters, Ulubari for sanction and release of funds, this Court is of the view that the respondents should complete the process for sanctioning the outstanding amount payable to the petitioner and pay the same, within a period of 4 (four) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 6.
