(Oral) After arguing the matter at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the petition at this stage but has submitted that the petitioner is in custody since January 2020 and till date only 13 witnesses have been examined out of 26 witnesses by the learned trial Court and as such prays for direction to learned trial Court to expedite the trial. In view of the statement, petition stands dismissed as withdrawn at this stage with liberty to file the same afresh, if so required in future in accordance with law. Needless to say that the petitioner is in custody since 04.01.2020 and only 13 witnesses out 26 witnesses have been examined by learned trial Court, therefore, learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial by giving short adjournments so as to conclude the trial promptly.
