The present contempt petition has been filed for non-compliance of order dated 01.04.2025, passed by this Court in CRWP-3178-2025. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of State of Punjab contends that in compliance of order dated 01.04.2025, FIR No. 76 dated 14.05.2025 under Sections 87, 127(2), 314, 351(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, has been registered at Police Station Division No.1, Jalandhar against Arshdeep Singh S/o Sarabjit Singh Grewal, resident of Village Walaitpura, Tehsil Malerkotla, District Sangrur. This fact is not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3. The relevant para 5 and 6 of the compliance report dated 21.07.2025, are reproduced as under:- “5. That it is respectfully submitted that in compliance with the aforesaid order dated 01.04.2025 (Annexure-P2) passed by this Hon'ble Court in CRWP-3178-2025, the grievance of the petitioner as well of his daughter (victim) was duly looked into and on the statement of victim MOHD AYUB 2025.07.29 19:06 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment. COCP-2377-2025 -2- (daughter of the petitioner), on FIR No. 76 dated 14.05.2025 under sections 87, 127(2), 314, 351(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, has been registered at Police Station Division No.1, Jalandhar against Arshdeep Singh S/o Sarabjit Singh Grewal, resident of Village Walaitpura, Tehsil Malerkotla District Sangrur. Copy of FIR No. 76 dated 14.05.2025 is attached herewith as Annexure-R1 for kind perusal of this Hon'ble Court. 6. That it is respectfully submitted that the investigation of the aforementioned FIR is underway and the deponent has given strict instructions to the Investigating officer of the case, as well as Station House Officer, Police Station Division No.1, Jalandhar and the Assistant Commissioner of Police, North, Jalandhar to conclude the investigation as early as possible and final police report be submitted before the learned Trial Court.” 4. In view of the above, the present contempt is purged and rule is discharged.
