HIGH COURT OF TRIPURA AGARTALA Cont.Cas(C) No.22 of 2025 Smt. Sumitra Debbarma .........Petitioner(s); Versus Sri Rati Ranjan Debnath, IPS & another ………Respondent(s). For Petitioner(s) : Mr. Bibhal Nandi Majumder, Sr. Advocate, Mr. Dhruba Jyoti Saha, Advocate, Mr. Bikash Paul, Advocate, Mr. Elembrok Debbarma, Advocate. For Respondent(s) : None. HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE MR. APARESH KUMAR SINGH HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE S.D. PURKAYASTHA Order 04/03/2025 Mr. Bibhal Nandi Majumder, learned senior counsel for the petitioner, has drawn the attention of this Court to the reasoned order at Annexure-5 dated 29.10.2024 purportedly passed in compliance of the direction of this Court in WA No.49/2024 vide order dated 25.06.2024. He submits that the so called reasoned order actually does not reflect any reason for non- exercise of the power to grant relaxation in terms of Rule 88 of the CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972. Therefore, petitioner has preferred this contempt petition. However, upon hearing learned senior counsel for the petitioner and after going through the order at Annexure-5 passed in compliance of the order under offence, we are of the considered view that the merits of the reasoned order need not be gone into in contempt jurisdiction. Petitioner, if so aggrieved, may have remedy in an appropriate proceeding. Therefore, the instant contempt petition is disposed of with the aforesaid liberty. (S.D.
