Order on Board
26.11.
2025
1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 07.05.2025 passed in MCRC No. 3543 of 2025, while allowing the bail to the petitioner, namely, Maidul Shaikh, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of passing of
2 the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Gharghoda, District – Raigarh (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 04.11.2025 has requested for grant of one year time for concluding the trial.
4. It appears from the perusal of the PUD that the case is presently at the stage of prosecution evidence, with 14 material witnesses yet to be examined. The supplementary charge-sheet against seven co- accused has been permitted but is still pending. Due to the large number of remaining witnesses and the awaited supplementary charge- sheet, it is not feasible to conclude the trial within the time limit prescribed. Hence, a prayer is made for extension of time in conclusion of the trial.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order be sent to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
