THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING: ORAL ORDER (PER: THE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SURAJ GOVINDARAJ) 1. The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: 1. Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or in nature of writ directing the Respondent No.1 consider the petitioners representation vide Annexure-E dtd 30/07/2024 to make payment of salary and other perks of the petitioner from the date of UGC regulations Annexure-C i.e., 18/7/2018. 2. Pass such orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of the case as in duty bound the petitioner shall ever pray an act of kindness in the interest of justice and equity. 2. A short grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has not been paid salary as per UGC - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:10116 WP No. 106367 of 2024 Regulation, 2018. In this regard, a representation has been made on 30.07.2024 at Annexure-E, which has remained unconsidered. 3. Whenever any representation is submitted by a citizen to an authority, the authority is required to pass necessary orders on the representation, either accepting or rejecting the representation, within a reasonable period of time. Neither having been done, I pass the following: ORDER i. Writ petition is allowed. ii. A mandamus is issued directing respondent No.1 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.07.2024 at Annexure-E and pass necessary orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
