WP(PIL) NO: 194 of 2025 Bench Sr.No:-6 [3483]
Integrated Tribal (E & R) Development Society and others ...Petitioners Vs. The State of Andhra Pradesh and others ...Respondents
**********
Advocate for Petitioners : Mr. Tota Tejeswara Rao Advocate(s) for Respondent(s): Mrs. S. Pranathi (Spl.GP)
CORAM : THE CHIEF JUSTICE DHIRAJ SINGH THAKUR SRI JUSTICE RAVI CHEEMALAPATI DATE : 15th October, 2025
P C :
In the present petition, the petitioners seek to highlight the fact that land which was otherwise covered under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Scheduled Area Land Transfer Regulation, 1959 was being transferred indefinitely in favour of non tribals.
In our opinion, the Regulation of 1959 does prescribe a comprehensive mechanism to deal with any transfer which is otherwise impermissible in terms of the said Regulation. It would be open to the petitioner to take resort to the remedies provided in the Regulation supra, if so advised.
