This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation and the learned standing counsel for the 6th respondent-A.P.State Housing Corporation, Anantapuram District. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the works, viz., providing of temporary water supply for construction purpose in proposed YSR Jagananna colonies under Nagaratnalu Pedalandariki Illu programme in Kalyanadurgam Municipality, vide respective agreements dated 27.03.2021, as entrusted by respondents 4 and 5. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the works to the satisfaction of the 4th respondent. It is further submitted that after execution of the works, the competent authority recorded the progress of the work in M Books and thereafter the petitioner has submitted respective final bills aggregating to a sum of -3- W.P. No.28322 OF 2025 Date of order: 15.10.2025 Rs.12,84,532/- and the same was approved by the 4th respondent, but so far no payment has been made to the petitioner. 5. In reply, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 4th respondent submits that there is no dispute with respect to the completion of the works undertaken by the petitioner and the payment would be made shortly. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2 and 4 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 8. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N BV
