The petitioner has filed this writ petition for promotion on the post of Teacher (Panchayat) from the post of Assistant Teacher (Panchayat). It has been brought to notice of the Court by way of return filed by respondent No.2 that the petitioner has already been granted promotion on the post ANKIT KUMAR SINGH Digitally signed by ANKIT KUMAR SINGH Date: 2025.01.17 10:54:17 +0530 2 of Teacher (L.B.) vide order dated 07.02.2022 (Annexure R- 1) which the petitioner has accepted. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner ought to have been granted promotion since 05.03.2014. He would further submit that though the petitioner had made representation before the respondent authority as per order of this Court in WPS No.6650 of 2016, but his representation has been rejected by impugned order dated 13.06.2017, therefore, the impugned order is liable to be set aside. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents would support the impugned order and submit that as per order dated 13.06.2017, the petitioner’s name did not come in the merit list on 31.10.2014 and even thereafter, therefore, he could not be promoted. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties, considered their rival submissions made herein-above and gone through the records with utmost circumspection. 5. This is the second round of litigation. After considering the aforesaid order, I do not find any illegality in the said order and, as such, the reason assigned by the Chief Executive Officer, Jila Panchayat, in the order impugned for not extending the privilege of promotion to the petitioner, is in accordance with law. However, the petitioner has now been granted promotion by order dated 07.02.202 (Annexure R-1), in that view of the matter, the instant writ petition stands finally disposed of. Sd/- Sd/- (Sanjay K.
