The Court made the following Order:
The present writ petition is filed seeking the following relief:
“…to issue a writ order or direction particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to restore the petitioner name in revenue records for Ac.4-89 cents of land in Sy.No.139 of Nandyalampet Village, Mydukur Mandal by duly concluding the proceedings Ref No.E/757/2018 on the file of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Jammalamadugu as expeditiously as possible in the interest of justice and pass such other order or orders…”
2. Heard Mr. M Chiranjeevi Babu, learned counsel representing the learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. K Arjun Chowdary, learned Assistant Government Pleader. It is stated that the learned counsel for the respondent Nos.5 ad 6 has been appointed as Judicial Officer. However, the matter is being disposed of without going into the merits of the case. 3. On a consideration of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, it appears that the Revenue Divisional Officer i.e., respondent No.3, pursuant to a report dated 21.05.2018 stated to have been submitted by the respondent No.4, has not taken any further action. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner asserts that the matter is still pending before the respondent No.3, though more than seven years have elapsed. 5. The learned Assistant Government Pleader states that despite his efforts, he could not secure instructions from the concerned respondents.
6. Considering the submissions made, this Court, instead of keeping the writ petition pending, deems it appropriate to dispose of the same, providing that the respondent No.3 shall take necessary action on the proceedings Ref No.E/757/2018, strictly in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and unofficial respondent Nos.5 and 6 in the writ petition, as expeditiously as possible, in the event no further action is taken by him so far. If the said respondent No.3 had already taken action in the matter, he shall communicate a copy of the order/proceedings to the petitioner under proper postal acknowledgment. NJS,J W.P No.9786 of 2019 4
7. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. __________________________ JUSTICE NINALA JAYASURYA Date:18.11.2025 Ksj
