Present petition has been filed for the following relief: "Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Certiorari quashing the impugned notice dated 15.07.2024 issued by the Meerut Cantonment Board under Section 239 of the Cantonment Act, 2006, as being arbitrary, illegal and violative of the Ministry of Defence guidelines; Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to carry out essential repair and plaster work in respect of House No. 55/12, Ghosi Mohalla, Kothi Khan Bahadur, Lal Kurti, Bada Bazaar, Meerut Cantonment, without any interference or obstruction; Issue a writ, order or direction declaring that no prior permission is required from the Cantonment Board for undertaking basic repair and maintenance work, in terms of the Ministry of Defence Circular dated 10.12.2019 and the letter of Directorate, Defence Estates, Central Command, dated 11.12.2019." 3. Learned counsel for the respondent no.4 has submitted that notice dated 17.05.2025 has been served upon the petitioner giving him an opportunity regarding the issue mentioned in prayer of the petition and next date fixed is 30.05.2025. 4. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of court to withdraw this petition so that he could file his objection before the respondent no.4-Chief Executive Officer, Meerut Cantonment Board, Meerut, in reply to the notice dated 17.05.2025. 5. In view of the above, present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid liberty.
