This Court, vide order dated 25.01.2024 passed in MCRC No. 8693 of 2023, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Lalit Dalbehra had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certi9ed copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on two occasions also this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 25.01.2024. 4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Bilaspur District-Bilaspur KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 17.10.2025 has requested for grant of two months additional time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that the case is 9xed for the statement of the accused. Summons/bailable warrants for the presence of witnesses are being issued through the Nodal O1cer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Bilaspur. However, due to the non-appearance of the witnesses, unnecessary delay has occurred in the proceedings of the case. The witnesses are not appearing before the competent Court on time. At present, a total of 291 NDPS cases are pending before competent Court, out of which 52 cases are time-bound matters, for the disposal of which continuous eAorts are being made. Therefore, it is most respectfully submitted that a further period of two months may kindly be granted for the proper disposal of the case. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of two months from the date of receipt of a certi9ed copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed o6 with the aforesaid direction. 8.
