The petitioner’s son suffered death because of electrocution while on duty with contractor engaged by respondent no. 2, who is sub-contractor of respondent no. 5 engaged by respondent no. 1. The case of the petitioner is that death occurred because of negligence of respondent nos. 2 and 5. Thus, the relief mainly appears to be against the private contractors. Nonetheless, the counsel for respondent nos. 1 and 3 submits that the case, as put forth, will attract civil liability and, therefore, the petition may be converted into civil writ petition.
