The petitioner alleges that payment has not been made to the petitioner by the Municipality despite satisfactory completion of work. 2. A detailed representation from the petitioner is pending consideration at the end of the Mal Municipality. 3. Learned advocate representing the municipality submits that the Chairman of the Municipality has been changed and it will take some time to verify the claim of the petitioner. 4. As it appears that the payment claimed by the petitioner is pending consideration for a considerable period of time, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Chairman, Mal Municipality to consider and dispose of the prayer of the petitioner for releasing the payment in accordance with law and in line with the work order issued. 2 5. Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6. The portion of the claim of the petitioner which is admitted shall immediately be disbursed in favour of the petitioner. 7. Any portion of the claim which is disputed shall forthwith be made known to the petitioner so that he can take follow up steps before the competent forum. 8. The writ petition stands disposed of. 9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
