For Petitioner : Mr.P.Krishnan For Respondent : Mr.S.J.Mohammed Sathik Government Advocate for R1 & R2 O R D E R This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioners dated 26.03.2025 within the time limit fixed by this Court pending on the file of the 1st respondent. 2. In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it is stated that the respondents 3 to 9 are the descendants of Late Govindasamy Naidu and Late Shantammal and they jointly enjoyed the properties 2/7 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.16371 of 2025 inherited by the petitioners through the above said Late Govindasamy Naidu and Late Shantammal. The petitioners submit that when they have applied and downloaded the online Patta on 25.03.2025 for the properties inherited by them, they came to know that the respondents No.2 issued Nos.1233 and 27020 in favour of late Gajendran and to the 10th respondent. Therefore, the petitioners have filed appeal before the 1st respondent on 26.03.2025. The 1st respondent did not even issue notice to the respondents 3 to 10. Hence the petitioners have filed the present writ petition for the aforesaid relief. 3. In view of the limited relief sought for in the Writ Petition, the learned counsel for the petitioners prayed that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioners dated 26.03.2025, on merits and pass orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4. The learned Government Advocate for the 1st and 2nd respondents did not object to the said submission of the learned counsel 3/7 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.16371 of 2025 for the petitioners. 5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent, to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioners dated 26.03.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
