GP FOR REVENUE The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: 2 “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the Respondents in considering the Petitioners representation dt.21-02-2025 requesting to extend the area of validity of Arm License No.493/KADAPA/AP from the State of Andhra Pradesh to all India, is illegal, arbitrary, unjust, violative of fundamental rights guaranteed under Articles 19, 20, 21 of Constitution, contrary to the provisions of Arms Act and consequently direct the Respondents to consider the Petitioners representation dt.21-02-2025 requesting to extend the area of validity of Arm License No.493/KADAPA/AP from the State of Andhra Pradesh to all India and take necessary action.” 2. Sri A.Syam Sundar Reddy, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the District Collector passed an order recommending extension of area validity from Andhra Pradesh to All India of arms licence to the Petitioner, along with the report of the Tahsildar and enquiry report vide Order dated 06.06.2025. It is further submitted that the Collector directed the Superintendent of Police to conduct fresh enquiry and furnish a detailed report regarding the specific threat perception to the Petitioner according to the provisions of the Arms Rules, 2016. Learned counsel would further submit that the Petitioner has submitted a representation on 21.02.205 and the matter is still pending for consideration before the Authorities. It is further submitted that, let there be a direction to the Respondents to take appropriate decision over her representation. 3. Sri P.Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the matter is pending before Respondent No.3 for consideration regarding the threat perception to the Petitioner across the country. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, Respondent No.3 is directed to look into the issue and take 3 appropriate decision according to governing rules and law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
