The present writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- (a) for the rectification of error in continuous khatiyan and register II, where the name of the persons namely 1. Umesh Rai, 2. Simiti Ghatwarin, 3. Shahdev Rai, 4. Amul Rai, 5. Kartik Rai 6. Basudev Rai, 7. Sukhdev Rai are still indicating which is an error of record which has to be rectified. (b) for inserting the name of the petitioner in the continuous khatian and online entry with respect to mauza no.253, new khata no.8, old khata no.4, new plot no.3701, old plot no.2215/2242 total area measuring 103 decimal out of which 51.50 decimal of land and under new plot no 3758, old plot no 2237, total area 234 decimal out of which 117 - 1 - W.P.C No.4389 of 2025 2025:JHHC:24318 decimal of land thus under the both plot total area 168.50 decimal of land has been purchased by the petitioner. (c) for uploading the name of the petitioner in the official website of the state government maintaining for the record of land.” 2. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the online entry is not the correct reflection of the official record. Although the online entry has no legal basis, still it has great impact in practical life and further it is a government record. 3. It is not in dispute that online entry should be correct and true reflection of the official record. 4. In view of the above discussion, the present writ petition is, hereby, disposed of directing the respondents to correct the online entry, as per the official record, within six weeks from the date of receipt/ production of copy of this order. 5. It is made clear that if the correction is not made within six weeks, the petitioner is entitled for Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) as a litigation cost, to be paid by the Deputy Commissioner, Dhanbad, who will recover the said amount from the erring officials. 6. The respondent No.1 i.e. the Secretary, Department of Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms, Government of Jharkhand , Ranchi, is held responsible for compliance of the aforesaid order. 7. With above observation and direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of. 8. Pending interlocutory application, if any, stands disposed of. (Rajesh Kumar, J.)
