JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI ORDER 14.06.2025 This is an appeal filed by the appellant-claimant against the judgment and award dated 06.07.2019 passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Page No.# 2/2 Tribunal, Goalpara, Assam (for short MACT, Goalpara) in MAC Case No. 81/2016 praying for enhancement of the awarded amount of Rs.2,91,440/-. Shri RKK Sinha, Regional Manager and Shri RC Pathak, Manager of the Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. (for short Insurance Company) and the claimant-Smt. Golapi Nath along with her learned counsel, Shri AR Agarwala are present today i.e., 14.06.2025 in the National Lok Adalat. The parties present before this Court jointly submit that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and an additional amount Rs.3,50,000/- as full and final settlement has been agreed upon. In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Insurance Company shall deposit the amount of Rs.3,50,000/- being the full and final settlement before the MACT, Goalpara within a period of 45 days from today.
