Ms. Supriya Singh, who usually represents the National Highway Authority of India is present in Court and is requested to appear in this matter. Let her appointment be regularized by the appropriate authority. The learned Advocate for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the writ petition upon Ms. Singh, learned Advocate in course of this day. The State is however represented by its learned Advocate. The learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that there has been a shortfall in payment of interest 2 by the concerned authority and the petitioner has submitted a representation before the Special Land Acquisition Officer and Competent Authority Land Acquisition Department, Jalpaiguri by a letter dated 26th December, 2024. The learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that such application has been forwarded to the Project Director, National Highway Authority of India but such authority is sitting tight over the matter. Ms. Singh, learned Advocate appearing for the National Highway Authority of India prays for some time to consider the prayer of the petitioner as contained in the said application. Without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioner WPA 683 of 2025 is disposed of by directing the Project Director, National Highway Authority of India, Project Implementation Unit, Joytinagar, Siliguri to consider the application of the petitioner dated 26th December, 2024 and to dispose of the same in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the application dated 26th December, 2024.
