K M KRISHNA REDDY The Court made the following: THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE VENKATESWARLU NIMMAGADDA CONTEMPT CASE NO:2367 OF 2024 ORDER: This contempt case is filed against the respondents for willful disobedience of the orders dated 30.10.2023 passed by this Court in W.P.No.24661 of 2023. 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner(s) and learned counsel for the respondents. 3. On hearing both the learned counsel, it is observed that the respondents paid the entire principal amount but not paid interest amount as directed pursuant to the orders dated 12.10.2023 passed by this Court in W.A.No.724 of 2021. However, the works entrusted to the petitioner are completed by the petitioner in the year 2021 itself. As such, the principal amount has already been paid complying the orders of this Court. For entitlement of interest amount, the petitioner herein has to initiate separate proceedings before appropriate forum. 4. Since the principal amount is already paid to the petitioner, the orders of this Court are complied with and no further orders are required to be passed in the present contempt case. 5. With the above observation and with the consent of both the learned counsel, the present contempt case is closed. However, regarding interest component, liberty is granted to the petitioner to initiate separate proceedings. There shall be no order as to costs.
