Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the state. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was arraigned as A.1 in S.C. No.948 of 2024 on the file of the Court of the I Additional District & Sessions Judge, Guntur, for the alleged offences under Sections 20(b)(ii)(A), 20(b)(ii)(B) read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 3. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case, as no contraband was recovered from his direct possession. The contraband, weighing one kg, was allegedly discovered at the residence of the petitioner's grandfather. It is further submitted that the petitioner has never visited his grandfather’s house and that his implication arises solely from the confession of the co-accused. It is submitted that the investigation by the police has been concluded, and a charge sheet has been duly filed. 4. The learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submits that matter requires adjudication by the trial court, where the veracity of the petitioner’s alleged involvement and other factual issues will be determined. 5 3 CRLP. No.4360 OF 2025 5. This Court, without going into the merits of the case, leaves it open for the petitioner to raise all these contentions before the trial court. 6.
