PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A6, seeking anticipatory bail, in connection with Crime No.10 of 2025 of Muvvalavanipalem Police Station, Visakhapatnam Commissionerate. 2 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(A) and 20(b)(ii)(B) read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that on 04.01.2025, at about 21.00 hours, on credible information, the Sub-Inspector of Police, Muvvalavanipalem Police Station, along with his staff and mediators, proceeded to Waltair RTC Depot, Peda Jalaipeta, Visakhapatnam, and found A1 to A4 in possession of 2 Kgs of Ganja. A1 and A2 confessed that they used to purchase Ganja from A5 and A6 for selling the same to consumers and, in the same way, they purchased the said Ganja from A5 and A6 and selling the same to A3 and A4. The contraband was seized under cover of a mediators report and a case has been registered against the accused. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material on record, prima facie, goes to show that the petitioner herein/A6 is a drug peddler and as per the confession made by A1 and A2 they alleged to have purchased the Ganja from A5 and A6. Learned Assistant Public 3 Prosecutor submitted that the investigation is not yet completed. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner herein. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. _______________________ K.
