This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “…to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the Respondent Nos.2 to 5 in failing to file the charge sheet by completing the investigation pursuant to the registration of Crime No.72 of 2019, dt.15.02.2019 till date as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to the provisions of Cr.P.C. and consequently direct the respondents to forthwith complete the investigation by arresting the remaining accused and to file the charge sheet as per the sections mentioned in the FIR into the court. “ 2. Heard Sri J.Jayanand, learned counsel for petitioner and Sri V.Farook, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for respondents. 3. Learned counsel for petitioner would submit that there is no progress in investigation and the police have not filed the charge sheet in Cr.No.72 of 2019, dated 15.02.2019, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 174 Cr.P.C., of Alipiri Police Station of Tirupathi Urban District. Learned counsel further submits that there shall be a direction to the police to conclude the investigation in this matter. 4. In that view, the writ petition is disposed of. However, the police authority is directed to conclude the investigation and file the charge sheet before appropriate court in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
