GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the Respondent No.4 and his sub-ordinates in frequently calling the petitioner to the Pulivendula Rural Police Station, Pulivendula,Kadapa district and harassing him without following the due process of law, as being illegal, arbitrary, oppressive, and violative of the petitioners fundamental rights under Articles 14, 19, and 21 of the Constitution of India and 2 Consequently, direct the respondents, particularly the 4th Respondent and his sub-ordinates, not to insist upon the physical presence of the petitioner at the Pulivendula Rural Police Station, Pulivendula,Kadapa district and not to harass him in any manner without following due process of law.” 2. Ms.Ayesha Azma, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the police are frequently calling the petitioner to the police station and harassing him without following due process of law. 3. Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 4. In that view, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the police are directed not to call the petitioner to the police station in the absence of any crime registered against the petitioner. In the event of any crime registered against the petitioner, the police are directed to follow due process of law to secure the presence of the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
