In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of directions to the respondents to fix the pay of the petitioner on promotion as Assistant Lineman (ALM) w.e.f. 23.10.2009. The petitioner also prayed for fixation of pay from deemed date of promotion as Lineman w.e.f.
22.9.2022. It has also been prayed for grant of arrears of pay and allowances alongwith interest @ 12% per annum.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.5 to decide his legal notice dated 6.12.2024 (Annexure P-15) and also reminder dated 7.1.2025 (Annexure P-16), in a time bound manner.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.5 to decide his legal notice dated 6.12.2024 (Annexure P-15) and also reminder dated 7.1.2025 (Annexure P-16), submitted by the petitioner within a period of 08 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. In case the petitioner is held entitled for the benefit, as claimed by him in the legal notice dated 6.12.2024 (Annexure P-15) and also reminder dated 7.1.2025 (Annexure P-16), the same be also released to the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of 04 weeks thereafter.
