1. Prayer in the instant civil writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondent No. 2 (Deputy Commissioner, Kaithal) to call for the meeting of Gram Panchayat Ramthali since Sarpanch of the village Ramthali, District Kaithal, namely, Tajinder Kaur (respondent No. 5 herein) has abandoned her post and has started living in District Sirsa and to elect a new Sarpanch for the smooth functioning of the Gram Panchayat.
2. In pursuance of advance copy of petition having been served upon respondent-State, Ms. Upasana Dhawan, AAG Haryana appears on behalf of official respondents and on instructions from Ms. Neha, Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Siwan, District Kaithal, submits that the assertion of the petitioners that respondent No. 5 has abandoned her post is totally frivolous as respondent No. 5 is acting as a Sarpanch; is also holding meetings and the last meeting was conducted on 04.04.2025 by respondent No. 5, therefore, there is no requirement of new Sarpanch.

3. Keeping in view the aforesaid stand taken by learned State counsel, no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition.
4. The instant writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
