ORAL ORDER

1. Learned AGA accepts notice for respondent Nos.1 to 3.
2. Petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs:

(i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.3 to consider and pass an appropriate order in respect of Form No.57 filed by the petitioner no.1 dtd. 03.09.2022 bearing request ID BHM943A2CB775B vide Annexure-E and Form No.57 filed by the petitioner no.2 dtd. 13.03.2019 bearing request ID BHM943A2BB2A0D vide Annexure-H to the writ petition.
(ii)Pass such other orders, as this Hon’ble Court deems fit under the facts and circumstances of the case, to meet the interest of justice equity.
3. The grievance of the petitioners is that the applications in Form No.57 submitted by petitioner No.1 on 03.09.2022 (Annexure-B) and by petitioner No.2 on 13.03.2019 (Annexure-H) have not been considered by respondent No.3.
4. Whenever any representation is submitted by a citizen to an authority, it is the duty of that authority to consider the same in accordance with law, either accepting or rejecting the request, and pass an order within a reasonable time. Since the authorities have failed to do so, I pass the following:
ORDER (i) The writ petition is allowed.

(ii) Respondent No.3 is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders in respect of Form No.57 filed by petitioner Nos.1 and 2, dated 03.09.2022 and 13.03.2019 respectively, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order. (iii) It is needless to say that until orders are passed on the said application, the petitioners shall not be dispossessed from the subject property.
