Learned Government Pleader for the Transport Department states that Rules have now been framed namely All India Tourist Vehicles (Permit) Rules, 2023 which now governs the issue. 2 HCJ & RC, J WP(PIL)_170_2017 Learned counsel for the petitioner states that while the Rules may be put in place, yet, strict enforcement of the Rules was necessary to prevent any untoward incident. Needless to say that the official respondents would be under an obligation to strictly enforce the provisions of the Rules supra and ensure due compliance in accordance with law.
