This Court, vide order dated 28.07.2023 passed in MCRC No. 4428 of 2023, while allowing the bail to the applicants, namely, Kashiram Soni @ Sunil Soni and Rajendra Diwedi, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 impediment. 3. Earlier on three occasions also, this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 28.07.2023. 4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Bilaspur District-Bilaspur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 22.09.2025 has requested for grant of four months time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that the case is presently fixed for prosecution evidence. The summons and bailable warrants for securing the presence of witnesses are being issued through the Nodal Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Headquarters, Bilaspur. However, due to the non-appearance of witnesses, unnecessary delay is being caused in the proceedings. The witnesses are not appearing on time, and at present, a total of 291 NDPS cases are pending before the competent Court, out of which 52 cases are time-bound. Continuous efforts are being made for their expeditious disposal. Therefore, it is most respectfully submitted that a period of four months is required for the final disposal of the present case. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8.
