This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent- Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the works, viz. construction of CC road and CC drain from Opp to 8/756 to 8/819 at Vakkalapeta in 37th division of Kadapa Municipal Corporation, vide agreement dated 21.10.2023, as entrusted by the 3rd respondent-Corporation. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the work to the satisfaction of the 3rd respondent and thereafter submitted final bill for a sum of Rs.17,34,662/- and after deducting an amount of Rs.15,882/- as part of the recovery, the petitioner is claiming an amount of Rs.15,06,900/-. It is submitted that the progress of the work was recorded in the M book and the bills were approved. However, no payment has been forthcoming. -3- W.P. No.24411 OF 2025 Date of order: 11.09.2025 5. During the course of the hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent does not dispute the submissions made by the petitioner with respect to the completion of the work undertaken. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2, 3 & 5 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 8. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N BV
