THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA WRIT PETITION NO: 20253 OF 2024 The Court made the following order:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“…to issue an appropriate Writ, order, or direction, mostly one which is like a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the Respondents No. 3 and 4 in calling the petitioner to the East Police Station, Tirupati to settle the time-barred debts owed to the 6th Respondent, as illegal arbitrary, unjustifiable, unstainable and consequently direct forthwith the Respondents No. 3 and 4 not coerce the petitioner to settle the time-barred debts of the 6th Respondent and pass such…”

Heard Sri Ramakrishna Akurathi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri P.AjayBabu, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, it is a case of interference of police in civil disputes.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions would submit that, based on the complaint made by the unofficial respondents, petitioner was called to the police station for preliminary enquiry. After preliminary enquiry, they found that the subject matter is a civil in nature. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would further submit that police are not interfering in the civil disputes between the parties.
5. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, recording the said submissions, the writ petition may be disposed of.
6. Recording the submissions, the writ petition is disposed of. However, police are directed not to interfere in the civil disputes between the parties except under due process of law. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending if any, shall stand closed.
