1. Petitioners namely, Jashandeep Kaur, aged about 15 years and 10 months through petitioner No.2 namely, Manpreet Singh, aged about 23 years, has filed the instant petition for issuance of direction to the official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of both the petitioners, which is at stake at the instance of respondents No.4 to 6. Noticing the age of the petitioner No.1 i.e. 15 years 10 months and following order dated 30.04.2025, passed by this Court:
“It is noticed that petitioner No.1-Jashandeep Kaur is 15 years and 10 months old and petitioner No.2- Manpreet Singh is aged about 23 years. Let respondent-State verify the credentials of the petitioners and thereupon inform this Court on the next date of hearing. Adjourned to 09.05.2025.”

As per status report, after recording of the statement of Gurmukh Singh, the father of petitioner No.1, on 10.05.2025, minor girl i.e. petitioner No.1 has also been recovered on 17.05.2025 while roaming in village Katani Kalan. Thereupon, she was produced before the Duty Magistrate-cum-Judicial Magistrate 1st Class,/LDH and on direction by the Duty Magistrate, she was produced before the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ludhiana, where her statement was recorded. 4. Somehow substance of statement is not disclosed in the status report, however, extract of the copy of DDR No.2 dated 17.05.2025 having been registered at Police Station Koom Kalan, District Police Commissioner, Ludhiana, is appended with the status report. It is also mentioned in para 6 of the status report that petitioner No.1 has been presently provided shelter in Nari Niketan, Doraha, District Ludhiana. 6. In view of abovesaid, it appears that no direction is required to be issued in the present case as petitioner No.1 is not staying with petitioner No.2. 7. Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of.
