1. Petitioner has filed this writ petition with following reliefs:
“10. Relief Sought:
1. That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to
2 direct the respondent authorities to decide the petitioner's pending application filed under Section 89 of the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, 1959 in Revenue
Case
No.03/A-6A/2012-13
(Village Kaushalpur) within a stipulated period of time as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court;
2. That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to Direct the respondent authorities to take into
consideration the old and new revenue records, maps, and documents produced by the petitioner while deciding the said application, and to pass a speaking and reasoned order; 3.That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to Grant any other relief(s) which this Hon'ble Court may deem just, fit, and proper in the interest of justice.”

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner submitted an application under Section 89 of the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, 1959 (Act of 1959) before respondent No.3/Sub-Divisional Officer for correction in the revenue record pertaining to his ancestral land situated at Village Kaushalpur. The matter was registered as Revenue Case No. 03/A-6A/2012-13 and is still pending before respondent/SDO (R) since the year 2012, despite the availability of documentary evidence and the petitioner's lawful claim, the concerned authority has failed to make the necessary correction in the revenue record and, thereby, depriving the petitioner of his rightful land and causing serious prejudice and hardship. Hence, petitioner has
3 came-up before this Court with aforesaid prayer.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents/State submits that he is having no objection to the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner with regard to early disposal of petitioner’s Revenue Case No.03/A-6A/2012-13.
4. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
5. Considering facts of the case, nature of relief, submissions of counsel for the parties, this writ petition is disposed of at this stage directing respondent No.3 to consider and decide the pending Revenue Case No.03/A-6A/2012-13, in accordance with relevant rule/law/regulation preferably within an outer limit of ‘120 days’ from the date of receipt of this order.
6. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with respect to the merit of the case.
