1. Mr. T.A. Khan, learned Senior Advocate for the petitioner through V.C.
2. Mr. Manish Kumar, learned counsel holding the brief of Mr. Ashish Kumar,
learned counsel for the respondents.
3. Time extension application MCC No. 1 of 2025 has been moved by the 1st Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Dehradun praying for extension of time for disposal of Civil Appeal No. 153 of 2017, Nagar Nigam vs. Mohad. Tareeq Arthar and others.
4. This Court by
order dated 16.04.2025 directed the concerned court to expedite the proceedings of Civil Appeal No. 153 of 2017, Nagar Nigam vs. Mohad. Tareeq Arthar and others as expeditiously as possible but not later than four months from the date of production of certified copy of the order. Now, the application has been moved by the learned 1st Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Dehradun seeking for some more time to expedite the trial.
5. Since, earlier order was passed on 16.04.2025 for expediting the proceedings within four months, therefore, in such an eventuality, keeping in view the request, as made by 1st Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Dehradun, further three months’ time is granted to expedite the trial.
6. Accordingly, time extension
application is allowed and direction is being issued to expedite the proceeding Civil Appeal No. 153 of 2017, within aforesaid extended period of three months.
