The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 30.06.2015 (Annexure P-9) whereby respondent has rejected his claim for the post of DSP/Inspector. 2. The petitioner claims that he won Bronze Medal in 11th World Wushu Championship held in 2011. The respondents have appointed many sportspersons on different posts. The sportspersons who have won Medals in World Championships have been appointed to the post of Inspector/Deputy Superintendent in Police Department. The petitioner on the ground of equality is entitled to job on the post of Inspector/Deputy Superintendent. From the perusal of record, it is evident that petitioner won Bronze Medal in 11th World Wushu Championship held in 2011. At that point of time, Sports Policy dated 20.08.2013 of the State was in force. The respondent has rejected claim of petitioner on the ground that Wushu sport is not notified in the Sports Policy of the State, thus, petitioner cannot be considered for appointment on the post of Inspector/Deputy Superintendent. 4. Concededly, petitioner was neither recommended by any Authority for appointment nor Wushu falls within the notified Sports. The State Government in its Sports Policy has notified various games which do not include Wushu. In the absence of recommendation of any Authority or Policy providing for benefit of job to a sportsperson who has won medal in World Championship, this Court cannot direct the authorities to issue appointment letter to the petitioner. 5.
