THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE D.RAMESH WRIT PETITION No.30692 of 2025
ORDER: This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed seeking the following relief:
“…..to issue WRIT OF MANDAMUS or any other appropriate writ or direction that the actions of the respondents in failed to rectify the mistakes committed in their revenue records regarding Ac.5.13 cents of dry land in S.No.42/4 in Patta No.94 of M.K.Palem, Venduvada Village, Bondapalli Mandal, Vizianagaram District are questioned as the same is illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents to rectify the mistakes committed by them in their revenue records regarding the said land to mutate the petitioner's name in their revenue records regarding the said land….”
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has acquired the wet land to an extent of Ac.5.13 cents in Survey No.42/4 in Patta No.94 of M.K.Palem, Venduvada Village, Bondapalli Mandal, Vizianagaram District through a

D.Form patta and the Tahsildar of Vizianagaram issued D.Form patta in favour of the petitioner on 14.09.1983 regarding the aforesaid property and since then he has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the said property. He has further submitted that the 4th respondent issued pattadar pass book in favour of the petitioner on 09.08.1994. However, the respondents failed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records regarding the said land. Hence, the present writ petition.
4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader has submitted that for correction of entries in the revenue records the proper course is to make an application under Form-5, but in the instant case the petitioner has not made any such applications.

Considering the submissions made by both the learned counsel, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage, granting liberty to the petitioner to submit an online application in Form-5 within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application, the respondents are directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks thereafter. There shall be no order as to costs.
