Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. The petitioners by means of the present writ petition have prayed for the following relief:- "1. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent No. 2 to decide the petitioner's statutory representation dated 12.6.2024 expeditiously in a time bound manner." 3. A photocopy of the letter dated 29.7.2024 issued by the Chief Supervisor, Department of CEPI, Delhi, has been placed on record by learned counsel for the petitioners. By the said letter, the respondents have acknowledged the representation of the petitioners under Section 18 of the Enemy Property Act, 1968, and have further mentioned therein that the competent adjudicating authority under the said Act is the Joint Secretary (FFR), Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, IInd Floor, NDCC Building, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi – 110001. Consequently, the Chief Supervisor forwarded a copy of the representation to the said authority for appropriate consideration. 4. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, and without entering into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Joint Secretary (FFR), Government of India, Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Anuj Kumar Shukla, Ashutosh Ganguli, Pranab Kumar Ganguli Counsel for Respondent(s) : A.S.G.I., Manoj Kumar Singh Mohd. Saleem And 10 Others .....Petitioner(s) Union Of India And Another .....Respondent(s) Ministry of Home Affairs, IInd Floor, NDCC Building, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi, to decide the pending representation of the petitioners, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
