Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that as per the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 the designated authority is the Revenue Divisional Authority, but not the Tahsildar. 4. In reply to the said contention, learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents has made his submissions based on the instructions that the matter is already referred to the Revenue Divisional Officer and the Revenue Divisional Officer is proceeding with the enquiry. 5.
