ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“…to topleased to pass a writ, order or direction, more particularly in the nature of writ of mandamus, declaring the action of the Respondents in interfering in the Civil dispute between the petitioners herein and the owners of the leased Premises i.e., Mr. Vijaya Babu and Mrs.. Sripathi Madavi Pal without having any jurisdiction over such matters and further harassing and threatening to lodge an SC/ST atrocity case against the Petitioners herein and forcing the petitioners to settle the dispute on the terms of Mr. Vijaya Babu and Mrs. Sripathi Madavi Pal as illegal, arbitrary and violative of Art 14 and 21 of Constitution of India and further direct the Respondent No.1 to 3, not to involve with respect to the dispute in O.S.No. 554 of 2020, which shall be settled in the court of Junior Civil Judge, Vijayawada and further, not to call the petitioners herein and interrogate the Petitioners herein without following the due process of law and pass...…”
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri V.Farook, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for the official resopndents.
3. The grievance of the petitioners is that respondent Nos. 2 and 3 are calling the petitioners to the police station and insisting that they increase the
rent of the building bearing D.No. 40-1-48, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Vijayawada.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that there is a valid rental agreement and, in such circumstances, the respondent police have no power or authority to interfere with the affairs of the petitioners.
5. Sri V. Farook, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, submits that upon receipt of a complaint from one Vijay Babu, the respondent police called the petitioners to the police station for the purpose of enquiry. Apart from this, the respondent police are not interfering with the affairs of the petitioners, and the police have never involved in the dispute in O.S. No. 554 of 2020 on the file of the learned Junior Civil Judge, Vijayawada between the parties.
6. Recording the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the police are directed not to interfere in the civil dispute and not to call the petitioner to the police station except following due process of law. There shall be no order as to costs.
