ORAL ORDER Sri. Shamantha Naik, learned counsel is directed to take notice for the respondents.
2. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 27.06.2022 (Annexure-A), wherein he has requested the correction of his father's name in the registered sale deed dated 25.10.2002 executed by respondent No.1-BDA.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent No.1-BDA had allotted site in favour of the petitioner, pursuant to the allotment letter dated 13.03.2002 (Annexure-B) followed by execution of the

registered sale deed and transfer of khatha in his favour. Subsequently, the petitioner noticed that his father name was wrongly recorded as Puttaswamy Gowda instead of K.P.Gowrappa. Therefore, he submitted a representation along with supporting documents seeking necessary correction. The non-consideration of his representation, has compelled the petitioner to approach this Court in this writ petition.
4. From the material placed on record, it is evident that the correction sought relates to the registered sale deed dated
25.10.2002. Such correction, being substantive and relating to an executed and registered document, cannot be carried out by the respondent- authorities through mere administrative process. The proper procedure for the petitioner is to approach the jurisdictional competent forum for appropriate relief. A writ petition seeking consideration of a representation for such correction is therefore not maintainable. Accordingly, this Court pass the following:

ORDER i) The writ petition is dismissed as devoid of merits. ii) The petitioner is at liberty to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law.
The respondent is granted a week's time to file vakalath.
